Natural interior flooring is professionally cleaned and sealed using industrial grade machinery designed specifically for hard floor restoration. Specialist equipment and techniques make it possible to lift deep seated dirt and old residues from a wide variety of surfaces while protecting the underlying material. This type of work is detailed and technical, so only experienced, highly trained operatives are used to carry out the cleaning and sealing. Every project is built around a thorough clean and the method used, with all the necessary machinery and carefully selected products in place to revive and protect your flooring.

The process varies from job to job, although the initial preparation remains the same. Protective sheeting is applied to skirting boards, walls and nearby furniture where splashes may occur, and the working area is cleared so there is safe access and no valuables are at risk of damage. A suitable pre cleaner is then applied to the floor surface, with particular attention paid to the grout lines, using different formulations depending on the floor type. Cleaning is carried out using either an industrial handheld turbo rotor or a heavy duty rotary machine, and a powerful suction extraction unit removes the loosened dirt and slurry before it is disposed of correctly. An industrial steamer is then used to target any stubborn marks, small detailed areas that need additional attention and, importantly, the grout lines, with minor repairs to missing grout or small cracks completed at this stage.

A hot mop is used to ensure the surface is fully cleaned down and ready to dry before sealing, with a typical drying period of around 24 hours.

Depending on the type of floor and which sealers are most suitable, some products may take up to four days to cure fully, and clear guidance will be provided where this applies, while other everyday sealers may need only around four hours to cure before the area can be brought back into normal use.
